The Equestrian Suite

I have in the past written music for all types of events. My earliest commission was for a Horseshow that required three movements, walk, trot and canter music to be used for an opening display in Sussex. I have since lost details of the particular event but I still retain the original score.

The first movement "WALK" had to stick to a tempo of 92 beats per minute in a four feel, Second movement "TROT" 146 beats in a two beat feel and the last movement "CANTER" 94 beats but in a three feel (against a 6/8) to give that extra feeling of flying.

Corn Exchange Concert

In 2004 I was asked to write a piece for this band for a concert in the Corn Exchange in Newbury on 6th November 2004. I came up with a suite called Benna'smeadow. Inspiration for this was reading about the folklore and local history and compilling this into a symphonic story starting with a fanfare from the noble castle and going through various themes. Most notably was a deer theme sprinting from the woods and ending with this same deer theme. The suite consists of Andante, Vivace, Adagio and Vivace co spirito.

Early Projects

One of my earliest projects was a Musical called "Mr Pumpkin". It was a halloween based play that was performed to a primary school in Barnsley. Writing, producing and performing in this musical was part of my degree.

My eariest projects involved websites and M.I.D.I. files or MP3 files which are not the best way to listen to your music, as they eith create something that sounds entirely different on another's computer or they loose quality of sound when you save them to this reduced quality file.
