Year 7 - "Instruments of the Orchestra" Year 7's are exploring the instruments of the orchestra. Each week we look at the different families of the orchestra and create sounds from those instruments. They will learn to recognise the sound of the different instruments through performing, and listening. Some catchy melodies year 7's are singing are "Omm Pah Pah" and "Under the Sea". Year 8 - "Hooks & Riffs" Year 8's are looking at what makes a good catchy hook or riff and listening to many examples. They also will be performing many examples as well as composing their own - not to mention singing a catchy up to date tune - "the Ovaltines" song.
Year 9 - "The Blues" Year 9's will be looking at the "Blues" and how it came about. They will explore music through listening, performing and composing. They will also sing some popular blues numbers from "The Blues Brothers". Jazz and improvisation booklet
